Please note there is a $20.00 Document Fee on vehicles purchased (Dealers exempt). A $45 entrance fee applies to all non-dealer vehicle.
SELLING REQUIREMENTS
- Valid US Drivers License or Photo ID
- Certificiate of Title
- 18 years of age or older
VEHICLE REGISTRATION
Vehicle registration opens on Wednesday at 8:00 am prior to the auction and closes on sale day at 8:00am. The auction assigns car numbers on a first come first serve basis. It is normal for the auction to be full and close before 8:00am on sale day. Sellers are encouraged to drop off vehicles on days prior to the auction.
Vehicle Registration is $45.00, which will be deducted from the sale proceeds if sold, along with the seller fee. If the vehicle is not sold, the $45.00 is due upon vehicle pickup. Methods of payment are cash, cashier’s check or company check. Company checks are accepted only when a letter of credit is on file and/or upon pre-approval of Auction Administration and at the sole discretion of the Auction.
RESERVE
The auction is with reserve; it is the seller's option to accept the bid price. Vehicles not sold at auction must be picked up by Monday at 5:00 pm or re-registered for the following consignment sale.
DISCLOSURE
All sellers are responsible for vehicle disclosures as outlined in the JHAA Policies section. These disclosures include odometer discrepancies, previous salvage vehicles, commercial vehicles, etc. Use the Light System Guide to determine the condition of sale and make sure the correct choice is on the registration slip. The seller is responsible for the accuracy of the information.
PAYMENT
A check will be issued from J Higgs Auto Auctions upon presentation of accepted title to the title department. If an individual purchases the vehicle, the buyer must pay for the vehicle in full before a check will be issued to the seller. Payment will be made payable to the name printed on the title.
REMOVAL NOTICE
Vehicles that are not re-registered and not removed from the sales lot by 5:00 pm of the following business day will be charged a $15 per day storage fee. After 30 days a mechanics lien will be applied for and the vehicle will be sold for storage. The owner will then lose all rights to the vehicle.
Vehicles are left on the auction premises at the owner’s request and risk; the auction is not responsible for loss, theft or damage.
